Vic ’s studio is located in the mountains just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Initially working only in native New Mexican hardwoods, his works today are formed in bronze, alabaster, limestone, marble and sandstone.

His subject matter consists primarily of human and animal figures. Although most of his work gravitates toward realism, he also offers stylized pieces. His works are designed for display within the home or office but he also produces pieces for garden settings. Typically, his pieces range in size from 10 to 28 inches in height.

Dr. Rizzo’s work has been displayed in a variety of annual juried shows such as the Loveland Sculpture Invitational Show and the New Mexico Arts and Craft Fair. His work has also been displayed in a several galleries in the Albuquerque area including Amapola Gallery, Kirtland Gallery, Gente Arts & Crafts Gallery, and Weems Gallery.

He has been recognized for his work by a number of awards. Recently, he received the 2003 “Best in Category-Sculpture” award at the Mill Avenue Merchants Show in Tempe, AZ. His piece entitled “Enduring Love” garnered First Place in the 2000 New Mexico State Fair, Professional Sculpture category.
